Sea Watch Gourmet Chopped Sea Clams are packed from only the highest quality shell stock (Atlantic Surf Clams). Only 5% of the clams we produce are eligible for this product. Unlike the industry standard, this product includes the tongue or “premium” portion of the clam. This premium meat has a firmer texture and stands up better to the canning process. This means that the Gourmet Chopped Sea Clams have a better identity, “bigger pieces.” (It is possible to use less product and receive the same perceived value.)

The second and most important selling point of the Gourmet Chopped Sea Clams is the fresh sweet concentrated broth that the product is packed in. This juice is extracted from the clams during the process. It is then concentrated, standardized, and used to top off each can. We think that the flavor is the best part! Compare the sweet flavor that this broth adds to your recipe to that of a clam base. The clam base can now be totally eliminated.
